We've all heard it. Been called it, even said it. All those different People Labels: prep, punk, jock, nerd, emo, goth. . .
Why -_-. Why try to fit every single person into some little box with guidelines.
Do you wear all black often? Then you must be punk, goth or emo. Are you happy with your life? That might rule out punk. Guy in skinny jeans? Emo.
How about. . . Instead of "prep". . . person in overly expensive clothes? Snobby person? I'm too good for those guys? O-M-G?
Cause let's face it. I know some "preps" who will talk to anyone with no hidden motive.
And I'm lost on this. I thought "emo" meant "I feel sorry for my self and must cut myself for sympathy." NOT the hairsyle.
How about. . . instead of "emo". . . whiney person. Hey feel sorry for me. I hate my life. Cause. . . I know some pretty happy people with the "emo" hair.
Just........just wraor. I'm gonna stop.

People have different meanings to labels, too, so it gets all confuzzling. Some people see goth and emo as different things. "I hate my life, feel sorry for me, my own inner demon(SMA), death, blah, blah, blah" is what some people see as goth and most see emo as a stereotype based on clothing. Or is you skate or wear skate shoes, you're punk. Then again, some people see punk, goth, emo as the same thing. -confuzzled already- Umm.....crap, lost my train of thought.
it's human nature to label it's "a brief description given for purposes of identification." People make label's for different objects depending on it's characteristics. if you have an object that looks like one that has been labeled "A" then you will think it's an "A." This is all objects not just people.
This label comes from the Generalization of an item which is " the process of formulating general concepts by abstracting common properties of instances."
Instances in this case would be people. If you look at the common properties of that person or group of people ie attire and hair style are 2 main ones. A label is then created behind those generalizations.
bleh prolly not the reason you wanted but i try for the logic standpoint.
Thank you Mr. Dictionary :P. Interesting view, but my point is that people are more than appearances. I know you guys get that, but there's no escaping it entirely. Oh, what a world >_>.

well you can tell im a computer nerd due to the fact i use logic in a lot of things i do and say. Logic is what the computer programmer gives the computer in order for it to run :D
That it is. The labeling that bothers me is the labeling FORCED on to those that do not want it, or labeling in a hateful way. Craig really is a computer nerd ;). But that's likable in my opinion.
